About Us

The church, as an institution, is like a person in that it is marked with a past, a present, and a future. Since 1841 The First Baptist Church has shared the Good News with the greater Beloit area. We are proud of the religious heritage that has touched lives for 160 years.

With deep roots, we live in the present. The Building Renovation Project reflects the commitment that people have for our church. Members and friends donated generously of their time and talents. Our building is ready to meet the needs of our growing congregation for many years to come. Out church remains committed to being a place for worship, learning, enrichment, service, and fellowship.

I feel most fortunate to be serving such a caring congregation of committed Christians. It is what we do every day to honor the Lord that makes all the difference. In service to others we find our greatest satisfaction. May we continue to be active doers of The Word.
